Dietetics at the University of Connecticut
Department of Allied Health Sciences
Students in the Coordinated Program in Dietetics earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics. This program provides students with a CADE approved curriculum and, in the junior and senior year, 900+ hours of supervised practice experience.
Students interested in this option apply to the University as an Allied Health Sciences major. During the sophomore year, an application is made to enter the Coordinated Program for the dietetics major, which encompasses the last two years of their education. At the completion of the senior year, students will receive the BS degree in Dietetics and a Verification Statement indicating completion of both the accredited curriculum in dietetics and the required internship or supervised practice hours.
Graduates of the Coordinated Program are eligible to sit for the Registration Examination upon graduation from the University of Connecticut.
